Ditch the makeup, scrub your face and check in. Even though we should all feel confident in our naked, makeup-less faces—no matter what because we’re all beautiful—it’s easy to look down on our natural beauty by focusing on our flaws. Instead of that approach, consider how healthy your complexion looks and feels.
Do you struggle with breakouts, dry skin, large pores, discoloration, under-eye circles or a dulling complexion? Sure, we can all blame or credit our genes for the tendencies of our skin—but not entirely.
It does matter what we eat and drink and how much we sleep and exercise. Our not-so-healthy habits show up in our skin. I know; it's unfortunate. But, there’s an upside. ;)
Just like unhealthy habits eventually make skin look and feel drab, healthy foods and habits can make it appear brighter and clearer over time. You can improve the health, feel and look of your skin, while developing a few healthy habits along the way.

It’s something I’ve been looking into for the past year, and specifically the past month (you know, I had a birthday and turned one year older which got me thinking about the aging process). In short, I’ve been doing my research, using all-natural and organic skin care and makeup products and cleaning up my diet—OK, I still slip up, but I’m doing much better. And, yes, my skin has improved. Like, really improved.
