Green smoothies. We're all obsessed, aren't we? Whether we drink them in bowls or tumblers, there's just nothing better than a perfectly healthy and delicious green smoothie. (If you think this, too, you're officially a health nut, btw.)
It even has that Instagram-worthy bright green hue we love yet sometimes can't achieve because we're trying to pack all these weird, amazing nutrients into our smoothie creations. Well, this one's packed, too. You'll get a heathy dose of greens and gut-friendly ingredients that will also leave a good taste in your mouth.
This is a smoothie that can get you out of bed in the morning. (Now I have your attention.) ;)
And you can thank one of my fellow health nuts, Kylie, for sharing it with us. It's her favorite smoothie. I mean, she's always sending me snaps about it.
"I feel so clean and energized after I drink it. Like the feeling you get after you swim at a spring," Kylie says. "It tastes sweet and fresh, and it's a great way to get your greens in for the day."
I also asked her how filling it was, because sometimes that's hard to gauge with smoothies.
"Yes, [it's] super filling! I usually eat it as a lunch. If I want it a little more filling and to last longer, I'll add another banana and two pitted dates," Kylie says.
Easy enough, right? Let's give it a try.
What you need:
- 2 frozen bananas
- 2 handfuls organic spinach
- 1.5 cups frozen mango
- 1 tbs Hawaiian spirulina
- 1 tbs organic barley grass juice powder
- 1 cup cold water
